As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and by joining us, you have a wonderful opportunity to give back to them.
Your role involves planning and delivering care that promotes security, dignity, and independence for our residents. You will get to know residents and their families to help deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will uphold high standards of care and positively influence your team. Whether demonstrating how to use a walking frame, assisting at the end of life, or communicating with families, kindness is paramount.
You will assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and in administering medication.
A key responsibility is maintaining accurate records and fostering strong team relationships.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or equivalent and be willing to work towards Level 3. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is preferred. Most importantly, you should have a positive attitude, good record-keeping skills, effective time management, and a kind, considerate approach to communication.
