Job summary

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your role as a Senior Care Assistant will involve supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and records are updated accordingly.
  • Participating in person-centred care planning, implementing, monitoring, and conducting monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where needed.
  • Serving as a key contact for residents, their relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals, ensuring that reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated appropriately.

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.

  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
