Nurse Seekers are recruiting on behalf of a well-established care provider for a compassionate and experienced Senior Night Care Assistant to join their dedicated team within a residential care setting in Alton.

The Senior Night Care Assistant will lead, supervise and support the night care team, ensuring residents receive high-quality care while promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing throughout the night. This role requires a minimum of two years’ care experience and leadership ability.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in a residential setting.
• Level 3 NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care completed.
• Compassionate, empathetic and person-centred approach to care.
• Experience leading, supervising and motivating a team.
• Strong organisational, delegation and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible with night-time care responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality, individualised care tailored to residents’ needs and preferences.
• Lead, supervise and support care staff during night shifts.
• Delegate duties and ensure tasks are completed to a high standard.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond promptly to needs.
• Ensure care plans, repositioning charts and documentation are accurately completed.
• Support residents with bedtime routines, personal care and overnight refreshments.

The Role

As Senior Night Care Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring residents receive exceptional care and support overnight, promoting their dignity, privacy, independence and overall wellbeing.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality, individualised care tailored to residents’ needs and preferences.
• Leading, supervising and supporting care staff throughout the night shift.
• Delegating duties effectively and ensuring care tasks are completed to a high standard.
• Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and responding promptly to their needs.
• Ensuring care plans, repositioning charts and relevant documentation are accurately completed.

Essential Requirements

• A minimum of two years’ experience working as a Care Assistant within a residential care setting.
• A completed Level 3 NVQ or Diploma in Health and Social Care.
• A compassionate, empathetic and person-centred approach to care.
• Previous experience or demonstrated ability in leading, supervising and motivating a team.
• Strong organisational, delegation and problem-solving skills.
• A flexible approach to working hours and a commitment to night-time care.
