Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust seeks an experienced consultant cardiologist to join a dedicated team delivering complex electrophysiology, VT ablation and advanced pacing within a tertiary centre.

You will participate in a 24/7 consultant-led service across NUH campuses, contribute to teaching and clinical governance, and support the evolving cardiac rhythm management program alongside the research and education links with Nottingham University.

Qualifications

• Experience in advanced electrophysiology and complex device implantation.
• Broad experience in all aspects of clinical cardiology with particular expertise in electrophysiology.
• In-depth knowledge of modern 3D anatomical mapping technologies.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Consultant of the week rota rotating through the Acute Cardiac Unit and in-patient wards.
• Contribute to combined cardiac and cardiac surgical case meetings.
• Engage in clinical governance activities including audit, incident reporting and revalidation.
• Teach postgraduate and undergraduate students and contribute to research activities.
