Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust seeks a senior physiologist to support the Cardiac Physiology department at the Royal Free Hospital. You will work independently in the Cardiac cath lab, participate in the 24-hour PPCI on-call rota, and perform advanced imaging and complex PCI support.

You will also conduct device follow-up checks for pacemakers and contribute to inpatient device rota, while covering non-invasive testing as needed in the Cardiology department.

Qualifications

• Senior physiologist role to support the cardiac physiology department based at Royal Free Hospital.
• Ability to work independently (at least 2 years) in the Cardiac cath lab and participate in the on-call rota for 24/7 PPCI and complex PCI procedures.
• Demonstrate expertise in diagnostic testing, interpretation, reporting and treatment to achieve high quality patient care.
• Carry out device follow-up checks for pacemakers and be part of the inpatient device rota.
• Cover non-invasive cardiac testing in the Cardiology department when needed (12-lead ECG, Ambulatory ECG, BP monitoring and analysis, ETT).

Responsibilities

• Work independently in the Cardiac cath lab with advanced imaging and complex PCI techniques.
• Support the CIU by providing accurate diagnostic testing, reporting and patient care.
• Carry out pacemaker device follow-up checks and participate in inpatient device rota.
• Cover non-invasive cardiac testing as required (12-lead ECG, Ambulatory ECG, BP monitoring and analysis, exercise tolerance testing).
