Job summary

A highly specialist Cardiac Physiologist (Band 7) is sought to join the Cardio-Respiratory department at Airedale General Hospital, Steeton. The role covers advanced echocardiography and device work, with opportunities to develop physiologist-led services and contribute to a state-of-the-art digital future.

You will be an expert in echocardiography and/or devices, performing complex procedures and supporting senior clinicians while upholding high standards of care and governance.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons.) in Healthcare Science or equivalent.
• AHCS/RCCP or HCPC registration is required.
• BSE accreditation for stress echo is desirable.
• Masters in a relevant field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret complex echocardiography and invasive cardiovascular investigations.
• Support in development of physiologist-led services and clinics.
• Ensure adherence to national, international and local guidance; contribute to governance and safety.
• Lead training and supervision of junior staff and students.
