Job summary

Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 7 Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiographer to work on a part-time basis at the St Georges Health & Wellbeing Hub/Hornchurch area. The role requires independently performing, interpreting and reporting Echocardiograms with a high standard of care.

Applicants should hold BSE Adult Transthoracic Accreditation or equivalent, with senior-grade experience.

Qualifications

• Applicants should be appropriately qualified, have a highly specialist standard, experience at a senior grade and be able to independently perform, interpret and report Echocardiograms.
• You should possess BSE Adult Transthoracic Accreditation or equivalent.
• We would consider an applicant that does not have BSE qualification, however they would still be required to have Echo experience and maybe recruited as a Band 6 until Band 7 competencies met.

Responsibilities

• To provide a high quality, appropriate and effective Cardio-Respiratory investigation service.
• To supervise, guide and support all junior members of staff.
• To be responsible for the organisation and delivery of an area of specialist responsibility as allocated by the Lead Cardiac Physiologist.
