Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Senior Cardiac Physiologist Assistant for the Cardiac Physiology Service at Basildon Hospital. This full-time, 37.5-hour role offers a permanent contract within a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include recording and interpreting ECGs, fitting and analyzing BP/long-term monitors, and assisting with treadmill stress tests and echocardiography to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Maths and English GCSE level 5–9.
• Society of Cardiological Science & Technology Diploma in Electrocardiography or NVQ 3 equivalence.

Responsibilities

• Record and interpret 12-lead ECGs.
• Fit and analyze BP and long-term ECG monitors.
• Support during exercise treadmill and echocardiography stress tests.
• Ensure high-quality patient care and accurate diagnostic results.
