Job summary

The post holder will work as part of the Diagnostic Cardiology team to provide high quality cardiac diagnostics, with patient care at the forefront. This post is based at the new Community Diagnostic Centre in Newmarket, with occasional days at West Suffolk Hospital on a rotational basis; services include outpatient Echocardiography, Ambulatory ECG monitoring and 12 lead ECG.

The role includes line-management of junior staff, involvement in service development, education, audit and quality

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a BSE Accredited Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist.
• Essential: BSc Clinical Physiology and BSE Accreditation or equivalent.
• Leadership or management experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex diagnostics independently.
• Contribute to service development, education, audit and quality assurance.
• Line-manage and train junior staff.
• Rotational duties at West Suffolk Hospital.
