Job summary

PT Renewables is recruiting a Carbon Lead to join a fast-growing sustainability consultancy, offering remote UK work and a salary up to £60,000. You will lead carbon management projects, shape decarbonisation strategies and advise major clients across sectors.

You’ll deliver GHG assessments (Scope 1-3), LCAs, and EPDs, support SBTi processes, and ensure compliance with CDP, CSRD, TCFD and SECR, while building lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years' experience in carbon management or sustainability consulting.
• Knowledge of GHG Protocol, Scope 3 accounting, LCA and SBTi.
• Experience delivering carbon reporting against CDP, CSRD, TCFD and SECR.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to build long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate GHG assessments across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
• Develop science-aligned decarbonisation roadmaps and net zero strategies.
• Manage complex Scope 3 programmes with supplier engagement and value chain assessments.
• Deliver Life Cycle Assessments, product carbon footprints and EPDs.

• Act as the technical lead and trusted advisor for key client accounts.

You’ll be joining a fast-growing sustainability consultancy that's built an outstanding reputation for delivering strategic Carbon and Energy solutions to a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients.

This is an opportunity to work with major organisations across multiple sectors, leading complex carbon projects, influencing net zero strategies, and helping clients navigate an increasingly demanding regulatory landscape.

The Role

As the technical lead within the Carbon team, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality carbon management projects while acting as a trusted advisor to clients.

You’ll lead technical delivery and help shape best practice across carbon accounting, decarbonisation and climate reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading corporate greenhouse gas assessments across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
• Developing science-aligned decarbonisation roadmaps and long-term net zero strategies.

About you

We’re keen to speak with experienced carbon professionals who combine strong technical expertise with excellent client-facing skills.

You’ll ideally have:

• A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in carbon management, sustainability consulting or a similar technical advisory role.
• Strong knowledge of GHG Protocol, Scope 3 accounting, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Science Based Targets (SBTi).
• Experience delivering carbon reporting against frameworks such as CDP, CSRD, TCFD and SECR.
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence building long-term client relationships.
