Job summary

UK Health Security Agency (Porton Down) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead capital and infrastructure projects within a highly regulated scientific environment. You will drive business case development, procurement, commissioning and benefits realisation, guiding cross-functional teams to successful outcomes.

The role requires on-site work at Porton Down, Salisbury, with a focus on safety, governance and value for money across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering complex capital, infrastructure or construction projects through full lifecycle.
• Proven governance, assurance, risk management and change control capabilities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and senior-level influencing ability.
• Experience working in regulated environments with safety culture emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of capital and infrastructure projects through full lifecycle, meeting objectives, timescales and budgets.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, procurement and contractor arrangements for value-for-money.
• Develop and monitor benefits realisation plans tied to business outcomes.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and communicate effectively to influence decisions.
• Establish governance, controls and reporting to support informed decisions.
• Ensure CDM compliance and promote health, safety and environmental culture.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and drive continuous improvement in project delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules and delivery strategies.
