Job summary

Rolls-Royce Derby is seeking a Capability Lead for Engine Environmental Protection to guide the engineering resource group, align on strategy, and ensure lifecycle compliance. You will shape staffing plans, drive performance management, and manage interfaces with the supply chain while promoting safety and continuous improvement.

The role requires a degree-level qualification, strong engineering judgment, and the ability to develop high-performing teams across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level or equivalent.
• Demonstrates sound engineering judgement and knowledge of sector customers and programmes.
• Capable of building high performing teams and driving improvements.
• Understanding of company quality policies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the engineering resource group throughout the lifecycle.
• Create and maintain resource plans to meet delivery commitments.
• Ensure recruitment and subcontracting meet business needs within policy.
• Own EP engineering aspects of business strategy and ensure capability readiness.
• Lead staff development, performance and training initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement and knowledge management within the group.
