Job summary

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join the CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team. The role involves assessments and therapy for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism and ADHD, within a multidisciplinary framework.

The post emphasises autonomous practice, leadership within the team, and use of research for audit and service development.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist psychological assessments of children and adolescents referred to the Neurodevelopmental team using complex data from tests, self-reports, rating scales, observations and interviews.
• Individually formulate and evaluate plans for psychological treatment for mental health or complex problems across care settings.
• Deliver a range of psychological interventions for children, young people and families, adapting formulations across models.
• Provide specialist child neuropsychology assessments and offer advice to neurodevelopmental professionals and families.
• Lead and contribute to the Neurodevelopmental Service.
• Make autonomous clinical decisions about assessment, formulation, treatment and discharge.
