Job summary

Devon Partnership Trust is recruiting a part-time Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner for the MERS/CAMHS pathway in Exeter and East Devon. You will assess, formulate and deliver evidence-based interventions for young people with mood, emotions and relationship difficulties, in a busy multidisciplinary team.

The post focuses on specialist assessment, formulation and interventions for complex cases with a commitment to NICE-guided practices and collaboration with families and partner

Qualifications

• A professional qualification at degree level or equivalent e.g. Psychological profession, Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or equivalent.
• Professional registration/accreditation with a recognised body, e.g. NMC, HCPC, Social Work England, UKCP, BABCP
• Recognised qualification in evidenced based therapeutic, mental health interventions for children/young people and their families/carers
• Post graduate qualification relevant to specialism

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment, formulation, triage, screening and intervention for young people experiencing a range of moderate to severe mental health challenges.
• Deliver high quality, evidenced-based, person-centred care to children and families/carers within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Manage a defined caseload with a focus on expert assessment and treatment in line with NICE guidance.
• Collaborate with a wider range of statutory and non-statutory agencies to support outcomes.
