Job summary

Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Mental Health Practitioner or Clinical Psychologist (Band 7) for Sefton Enhanced Support Team. The role is split across CAMHS and Children’s Services, with flexible working and a 18.75 hour per week schedule.

The successful candidate will assess and treat children/young people with complex needs, provide supervision, and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams within a large teaching hospital setting in Liverpool.

Qualifications

• Experience of specialist mental health assessment and therapeutic interventions with children and young people.
• Ability to provide risk assessment of self-harming behaviour.
• Experience in supervising lower banded CAMHS workers and trainees.

Responsibilities

• Undertake mental health assessment of children and young people referred to CAMHS and provide evidence-based interventions.
• Provide support, advice and consultation to families and other professionals.
• Split post with Sefton CAMHS and integrate with Children's Services including Social Care.
• Deliver case management for workload and supervise others as required.
• Develop and evaluate consultation and training for staff.
