Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join the CAMHS Outreach Team in Gloucestershire. The role focuses on leadership in a multidisciplinary setting, complex caseload management, and advanced assessment for children and young people in crisis.

You will contribute to service development, provide expert clinical guidance, and support safe discharge planning within a 9am-9pm service model, with potential evening work and flexible patterns.

Qualifications

• Professional registration with the relevant body (NMC/HCPC/GPhC).
• MSc Advanced Practice and NHSE Digital Badge are desirable.
• Registered as an independent prescriber where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical decision‑making within a multidisciplinary team.
• Carry clinical responsibility for a complex caseload.
• Perform physical health screening.
• Provide advanced assessment and treatment planning.
• Offer specialist advice to colleagues across the team.
• Prescribe medications where appropriate within scope.
• Monitor and improve standards via supervision, audits and education.
• Contribute to service development and training.
