Job summary

Formula 1 in Biggin Hill is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to maintain and develop the circuit engineering AutoCAD drawing portfolio. You will work with circuit engineers to manage XREFs, integrate LiDAR data and ensure accurate infrastructure records for race planning and operations.

The role focuses on updating drawings with survey data, implementing CAD standards, and supporting the production and distribution of race drawings across the organization.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in creating, editing and maintaining AutoCAD drawings and XREFs.
• Strong capability in creating and managing dynamic blocks within AutoCAD.
• Excellent attention to detail for technical drawings.
• Strong communication to clarify requirements and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, update and standardise AutoCAD DWG XREFs in line with race-by-race requirements.
• Produce and deliver race drawing XREFs to support Circuit Engineering planning.
• Update drawing packages using latest infrastructure, design, survey and as-built information.
• Utilise LiDAR point cloud data to maintain and enhance CAD datasets.
• Develop and maintain CAD drawing standards, layer management and XREF best practices.
• Ensure drawings provide clear, accurate outputs for digital and print.
• Manage filing systems and document control for drawing assets.
• Assist in printing, collation and distribution of race drawings.
