Job Role: Senior CAD Engineer

Location: York

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Navartis is working with a specialist Sub-Contractor operating in sectors such as Rail, Civils, Environmental Projects, and Commercial. We are seeking a Senior CAD Engineer.

This role offers variety and the opportunity to join a highly qualified design team. You will be actively involved in design work, focusing on bridges, with some temporary works and geotechnical schemes.

Key Duties for Senior Design Engineer:

• Lead the creation of detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models for complex civil engineering projects.
• Review and verify drawings produced by Graduates and CAD technicians for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to suggest design improvements.
• Mentor and support Graduates and CAD technicians in developing their CAD skills.
• Develop and maintain the CAD Standards Manual.
• Ensure all drawings meet company standards, industry regulations, and project specifications.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and communication with Project Managers.

Previous Experience Needed:

• Diploma or degree in CAD Design, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit).
• At least 5 years of experience in a CAD Technician role within civil engineering consultancy.

• Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
