Job summary

Strata Consulting in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Technician to join a global team working across aviation, defence, life sciences and infrastructure sectors. You will ensure quality and completeness of drawn information for projects and manage document control.

You will lead CAD technicians, mentor junior staff and drive BIM adoption within the department while delivering 2D and 3D C&S deliverables from concept to detailed design.

Qualifications

• HNC/ HND Civil Engineering accredited with ICE/ Eng Tech TMICE or TIStructE.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk REVIT.
• Experience of Cads RC.
• Ability to produce 2D & 3D C&S deliverables from concept through to fully co-ordinated detailed design.
• Knowledge of traditional building materials (Steel, Timber, Concrete, RC) and site-wide infrastructure.
• Eligible to pass security clearance and airside pass applications.
• Full UK driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the quality and completeness of all drawn information for projects under your remit, including incoming and outgoing document control.
• Manage other CAD technicians and mentor junior staff.
• Contribute to development and continuous improvement of CAD delivery processes.
• Promote and develop Building Information Modelling (BIM) within the department.
