Job summary

Binnies in Wetherden is looking for a Senior CAD/BIM Technician to manage digital engineering deliverables across water and environmental projects. This role involves a high level of independence and requires advanced CAD and BIM skills, a proactive problem-solving approach, and effective collaboration with teams.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in CAD/BIM production and be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and guidance to junior members, ensuring compliance with project standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Significant experience producing engineering CAD and BIM deliverables.
• Experience working on water and wastewater treatment, networks or environmental projects.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Produce and coordinate complex 2D drawings, 3D models and associated project deliverables.
• Lead the development of assigned digital deliverables from engineering sketches.
• Promote good information management practices within project teams.

Skills

Advanced CAD and BIM production capability

Strong communication and coordination skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to mentor and support less experienced team members

Education

Relevant technical qualification (HNC, HND or equivalent experience)
