Job summary

Paragon Alpha - Hedge Fund Talent Business is seeking a Senior C++ Developer to join a systematic macro trading pod focused on fast, mid-frequency strategies across FX and Futures. You will own the fast-path technology, from market data to execution, working directly with the Portfolio Manager.

This embedded role requires building low-latency trading engines, optimizing performance, and ensuring reliable interaction with electronic markets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in C++ trading systems.
• Strong background in low-latency trading, electronic execution, or tick-by-tick market data.
• Experience with FX and/or Futures is highly valuable.
• Ability to own end-to-end trading tech in a live environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the pod’s tick-to-trade architecture from data to execution.
• Design and build low-latency C++ trading engines and execution infrastructure.
• Develop tech around trading algorithms including market data handling, algo wrappers, OMS functionality.
• Collaborate with the PM on implementing systematic trading strategies.
• Take ownership of the pod's execution technology and optimize performance.
• Ensure reliability and efficient interaction with electronic markets.
