Owen Daniels is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver the control software for our intelligent marine vehicles. You will own the architecture of closed-loop control and vehicle systems management, and take it from scoping through to sea trials.

You will also mentor less experienced engineers. The role requires a degree in CS/Mechatronics/Robotics or equivalent, strong C++14+ experience, and a track record in control-system software.

Formación

• Degree-level qualification in CS, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent.
• Experience designing software for control systems.
• Advanced C++ development (C++14+) experience.
• Desirable: marine or mobile robotics experience.
• Desirable: ROS/ROS2, CAN bus, sensor fusion.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop software architecture for closed-loop control.
• Implement propulsion and autopilot features.
• Write and maintain software documentation.
• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
• Collaborate with software and engineering teams to deliver on time.
• Review designs for reliability and maintainability.
• Test and validate software via unit tests, simulation, and sea trials.
• Act as technical authority for software on mobile platforms.
