Job summary

SubSea Craft Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior software engineer to design and deliver the control software for our intelligent vehicles. You will own the architecture of closed-loop control and vehicle systems management, and lead from scoping through sea trials.

The role requires advanced C++ (14+), experience in control systems, and mentoring. You will work with our software and engineering teams to ensure reliable, modular code and timely delivery, while upholding security

Qualifications

Degree level qualification in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Robotics or equivalent.
Professional design and development experience for control systems software.
Advanced C++ development experience (14+)

Responsibilities

Design and develop software architecture focusing on closed-loop control and vehicle systems management.
Implement closed-loop control features including propulsion management and autopilot.
Write and maintain design records and software documentation.
Mentor less experienced engineers and collaborate with teams to ensure timely delivery.
Review designs for reliability, modularity and maintainability.
Test and validate software via unit tests, simulations, bench tests and sea trials.
