Job summary

Rockstar Games in London is seeking a Software Engineer with a strong interest in low-level game tech to support the Cfx.re creator platforms, including FiveM and RedM. You will work on complex systems and enjoy understanding how games tick under the hood.

This is a full-time, in-office role based in Rockstar’s London studio. The successful candidate will maintain and improve codebases, optimize performance, and collaborate across Creator Platform teams to deliver robust software solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience on a software development team using C++.
• Strong understanding of computing fundamentals and related terminology.
• Ability to manage large code bases with diverse areas and assess risk of changes.
• Excellent debugging skills with C++ focus.
• Awareness of memory layout, padding and cache efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve existing and new codebases with high quality and stability.
• Support software release processes across multiple branches with cross-functional teams.
• Identify, prioritize and resolve critical issues, ensuring timely fixes and stability.
• Drive release planning, deployment, and rollback procedures.
• Maintain and enhance build, test, and release automation pipelines for better workflows.
• Monitor platform health and post-release KPIs to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Creator Platform and Rockstar teams on robust software solutions.
