Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior C# .NET Engineer for a leading energy markets business. You will develop scalable backend services, APIs, and cloud-enabled architectures in a fast-paced front-office environment, collaborating with traders and quantitative teams.

The role requires 10+ years of software development experience, strong knowledge of Power, Gas, LNG and environmental products, and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL and modern CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Strong energy trading or front-office domain knowledge.
• Proficient in APIs, backend services, cloud and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality C# .NET software and backend services.
• Work directly with users to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Support and develop front-office trading tools.
• Design architecture, data models and system interfaces.
• Collaborate with Quantitative Analytics and Development teams on models.
• Work with cloud, containers, APIs and distributed systems.
• Support testing, deployment and production issues.
• Take ownership of complex technical issues and drive to resolution.
• Understand energy trading and the trade lifecycle.
