Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Lead C&I Principal Engineer in Manchester with visits to Immingham as needed. This role covers conceptual studies through detailed design in the downstream Oil & Gas sector, with emphasis on DCS, PLC, SIS, and hazardous area instrumentation.

You will lead engineers, manage budgets, and drive technical excellence across Chemical, Petrochemical, and Power projects, delivering on time and within safety standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive instrument engineering design experience on large EPC projects.
• Experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas industries.
• Experience delivering UK projects to UK standards.
• Leadership across budget, schedule and multi-discipline interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrument and control engineers across UK and global teams through all project phases.
• Develop and manage project budgets to maintain quality and cost efficiency.
• Support project and proposal activity ensuring technical continuity.
• Deliver conceptual, FEED and detailed design work for process plants.
