Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is recruiting a Senior C&I Engineer to support a long-standing downstream Oil & Gas programme. You will deliver Instrument Engineering across concept to start-up, and act as a key interface with clients, project management and suppliers.

You will develop and deliver instrumentation deliverables, specify and review instruments, datasheets, and P&IDs, and ensure safety and compliance, including ATEX. Requires UK project experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Instrument Engineering Design on medium to large capital projects.
• Experience delivering projects from concept through to start-up.
• Strong experience within an EPC or engineering contracting environment.
• Extensive downstream Oil & Gas experience; refinery experience desirable.
• Proven experience working on UK projects using UK engineering standards.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems and associated engineering deliverables.
• Experience with DCS, PLC and SIS systems across their lifecycle.
• Knowledge of hazardous area instrumentation and ATEX requirements.
• Experience with P&IDs, control valves, flow devices and relief devices.
• Experience in equipment specification, technical bid evaluation and supplier management.
• Good understanding of design safety and constructability.
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients and project management.

Responsibilities

• Specification, technical bid analysis and requisitioning of field instrumentation and analysers.
• Specification and application of DCS, PLC and SIS systems, including full lifecycle considerations.
• Support the specification and implementation of hazardous area instrumentation per ATEX.
• Develop and review P&IDs.
• Size flow measurement devices, control valves and relief devices.
• Provide C&I input to mechanical packages.
• Support equipment specification and supplier compliance activities.
• Carry out site surveys as required.
• Ensure designs meet safety, constructability and company standards.
• Support project budget, schedule monitoring and reporting.
• Apply appropriate electrical protection methodologies.
• Work within global integrated engineering and delivery teams.

The Opportunity

We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Senior C&I Engineer to support a long-standing programme of work within the downstream Oil & Gas sector.The role will involve delivering Instrumentation and Control engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from conceptual studies and FEED through to detailed design and start-up. You’ll work across a range of medium to large capital projects, supporting both project delivery and proposals within an established EPC environment.

The Role

As a Senior C&I Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering Instrument Engineering solutions across a variety of projects. You’ll also act as a key discipline interface, working closely with other engineering disciplines, clients, project management and suppliers.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

• Developing Instrumentation and Control engineering deliverables throughout Concept, Basic Design, FEED and Detailed Design phases.
• Providing C&I engineering input across medium and large capital projects through to start-up.
• Leading C&I discipline interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
• Liaising directly with Client Engineers, Project Managers and other key stakeholders.

• Specification, technical bid analysis and requisitioning of field instrumentation and analysers.
• Specification and application of DCS, PLC and SIS systems, including consideration of the full system lifecycle.

• Sizing flow measurement devices, control valves and relief devices.
• Providing C&I input to mechanical packages.

You will have the following qualifications & experience

• Proven experience in Instrument Engineering Design on medium to large capital projects.
