Job summary

Our Client in the software development sector is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in C/C++ to advance their flagship network emulation products. You will work in R&D on complex, performance-critical software and help shape the future of network testing technology.

The role requires five years of software development experience, strong Linux/GNU toolset, C++ expertise, and experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Minimum five years’ experience in software development, with at least two specialising in Linux environments.
• Proven expertise in C++ programming with object-oriented design.
• Strong understanding of network programming and multithreaded application development.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork.
• Experience mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and upkeep of backend software components.
• Collaborate with product managers to translate high-level specifications into software solutions.
• Contribute to architecture and continuous improvement of system software for high performance and scalability.
• Provide accurate estimations and deliver high-quality code on time.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, including reviews, testing, and documentation.
