My client is a leading food manufacturing business supplying delicious, flavoursome products to customers across the UK. They operate multiple sites and collaborate with leading retailers.
They are currently seeking an experienced Indirect Services Buyer to join their talented central procurement team. You will have substantial indirect services purchasing experience within an FMCG environment, accustomed to the pace and challenges of this sector.
As part of a small indirect procurement team, you’ll be responsible for developing the Category Strategy by understanding individual site needs and collaborating with senior stakeholders to respond to and resolve escalations.
You should be a skilled negotiator with proven experience in supplier development and contract negotiation. Effective communication and leadership skills are essential to influence internal stakeholders positively.
Candidates should be bright, articulate, and ideally have at least two years’ experience in buying indirect services in a fast-moving environment. Strong negotiation skills, the ability to identify and implement improvements, IT literacy, and analytical skills to interpret large data volumes are required. A full driving license is essential for this role.
