A leading aerospace company in Luton seeks a Senior Buyer Indirect for its Procurement team. In this role, you will manage non-strategic sourcing to ensure competitive pricing and contract compliance. Candidates must have at least 10 years of Indirect Commodity experience, preferably in the aerospace industry. The position offers a gross salary of £6,183 monthly, paid holidays, and excellent working conditions including a pension scheme.

We are looking for a Senior Buyer Indirect to strengthen the Procurement team of Fokker Landing Gear in Papendrecht by focusing on NPR spend and support our manufacturing operations.
As Senior Buyer you will be responsible for the local commercial management and you will be assigned to non‑strategic sourcing. Your responsibilities will cover in‑contract modifications, transfers or new products by ensuring that the sourced products are at competitive prices. You will negotiate & implement country‑specific corporate contracts for GKN Aeropsace and you will also implement commodity strategies, developed by Category Managers, with the goal to leverage indirect spend and deliver significant annual improvements in cost and service levels. In addition, you will coordinate implementation of contracts through the P2P function at sites and manage compliance and you will work with cross functional stakeholder teams to identify business needs and implement contracts which support.
Fokker Landing Gear, part of GKN Fokker, is a recognised specialist in landing gear and related systems. We focus on the design and development, production and assembly of complete landing gears, as well as the repair and reassembly of systems already in use. In doing so, we work on the most famous aircraft and helicopters; think of the Apache combat helicopter, the F‑35 Lightning II (JSF), the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 and the multipurpose NH90 maritime combat helicopter.
Part of the selection procedure is carrying out the necessary checks and screenings in order to meet the requirements set by GKN Fokker's customers, partners and suppliers within the program. The checks and screenings will be assessed on the basis of frameworks set by our Export Compliance & Security department. Every employee within GKN Fokker must ultimately be authorised to give substance to his or her position. Assessment of checks and screenings can lead to the fact that no content can be given to the position and therefore no employment or deployment can follow. The onboarding at Fokker usually takes 3 weeks.
