Zusammenfassung

Michael Page partners with a Hampshire-based manufacturing business to recruit a Senior Buyer responsible for managing suppliers and purchasing materials for production. You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain supply, improve performance and support procurement improvements.

You will lead day-to-day purchasing, monitor supplier performance, and support negotiations while collaborating with Operations to optimise stock levels and ensure timely delivery of materials and components.

Qualifikationen

• Experience on procurement in manufacturing environments.
• Strong supplier relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to support negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.

Aufgaben

• Manage day-to-day purchasing activity across a portfolio of suppliers and materials.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery and lead times.
• Ensure materials and components are available to support production and customer requirements.
• Proactively identify supply constraints and work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Support commercial negotiations and cost-saving opportunities.
• Work with Operations to support inventory management and improve stock health.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier and lead-time information within the ERP/MRP system.
• Cross-functionally collaborate with Engineering, Production, Finance and wider Procurement teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across procurement processes and systems.
