Are you looking for a step into a Senior Buyer role within a large international manufacturing business? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Our client is a global manufacturing company seeking to expand their procurement function to support ongoing growth. The team is medium-sized, and you will likely have line management responsibilities, leading a team of buyers and coordinators.

Please note that this is an office-based role in Basildon, Essex.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage the procurement of a portfolio of materials and goods
2. Influence key internal stakeholder relationships to achieve group purchasing objectives
3. Deliver KPIs related to cost, cash, quality, and service delivery
4. Negotiate with various international suppliers
5. Manage and develop team members
6. Continuously analyze data to act upon market intelligence
7. Minimize risks to supply continuity

Requirements:

1. Preference for candidates who are CIPS qualified
2. Experience in team management
3. Experience in the manufacturing sector, with a background in sourcing from both the Far East and Europe
