Job summary

Contechs in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Buyer for a 12-month contract based in Gaydon. You will lead strategic sourcing for direct operations, manage supplier relations, and negotiate terms to secure best value.

The role requires proven procurement experience, hands-on category management, and the ability to drive cost savings and supplier performance. The position is onsite at the Gaydon facility with close collaboration across teams.

Location: Gaydon

Duties:

• Accountable for obtaining goods/services required by the organisation including:
• Direct Operations (Production) Procurement processes include:
• Product/Service Sourcing
• Supplier Selection
• Pricing/Terms Negotiation
• Order Processing
• Contract Administration
• Supplier Performance Management
• Strategic Sourcing

Responsibilities typically include:

• Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager.
• Problems faced are difficult and often complex.
• Contract negotiations, price analysis, internal and external stakeholder management, contract terms.
