Sulzer GT Aero Services Ltd. is seeking a Buyer to join our UK team, responsible for procuring goods and services, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.

You will collaborate with engineering, production and QA, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, monitor inventory, and support continuous improvement and new product development.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Proven negotiation skills and supplier relationship management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP and MS Office.
• Able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of purchasing best practices and supply chain principles.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and build relationships.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in line with policies.
• Monitor inventory and forecast material needs to prevent stockouts.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to meet specs.
• Resolve supplier issues including quality, deliveries, and invoices.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance for cost savings.
• Maintain purchasing records and generate reports.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with regulations and ethics.
• Support cross-functional teams on new product development and continuous improvement.
