As a seasoned Procurement professional, you'll lead critical initiatives and orchestrate negotiations to secure optimal contracts. Your role involves cultivating robust supplier relationships, analyzing market dynamics, and driving cost-saving measures. Collaborating closely with internal customers, you'll ensure alignment with evolving needs while spearheading performance enhancements. How you’ll make an impact
  • Plan negotiations, define awarding strategy and prepare sourcing board approvals, respecting the suppliers defined by the commodity strategy, to enable pooling potential.
  • Negotiate local, regional, or multi-site contracts in conjunction with relevant procurement managers, or independently. This includes negotiating prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms, among other specifics.
  • Contribute to EcoSystem commodity strategy, and develop a business listing of preferred suppliers.
  • Manage the relationship with assigned suppliers (in alignment with CM/GCM when applicable).
  • Support and maintain supplier segmentation of the relevant supply base via actively representing the Customer view in Commodity Circles.
  • Analyse local and regional market trends and their utilization in commodity strategy.
  • Identify customer requirements and support the execution process, providing input into the sourcing process.
  • Monitor supplier performance and inform relevant customers about this performance.
  • Generate, document, and implement savings measures; monitor and report relevant KPIs.
  • Drive early procurement / supplier involvement and cost-out activities.
  • Identify procurement risks and opportunities and implement respective measures.
  • Identify potential contractual items and liaise (if relevant) with the strategic commodity management to ensure such items are added to existing contracts or appropriate contracts are established.
  • Educate business unit stakeholders of preferred strategies, suppliers, and behaviors to drive optimal performance and compliance with corporate strategies.
What you bring
  • Experience working in a complex, constantly evolving global organizational environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing.
  • Experience with indirect procurement and contract management.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and customer management skills.
  • Excellent commercial, contractual, and project management competence.
  • Knowledge of working with a global commodity management community.
