About the Department
The Business Intelligence team is responsible for managing the entire reporting and analytics lifecycle—from requirements gathering and data extraction to visualisation, testing, and delivery. The team supports finance, treasury, risk, and strategic planning, and manages enterprise BI tools and platforms.
Focusing on excellence, the team leverages analytics to support informed decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion analytics and business intelligence initiatives across all departments, promoting a data-driven decision-making culture.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for data platforms and reporting tools, guiding key stakeholders.
- Maintain and optimise reporting outputs, identifying areas for enhancement and automation.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to meet dynamic business needs.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from large databases.
- Support transformation and change initiatives with insights and reporting capabilities to improve data integrity and performance.
- Lead delivery of advanced analytics and AI-driven projects aligned with business strategy.
- Analyse performance data to identify trends, insights, and strategic opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, ensuring high data accuracy and clarity.
- Advise on developing KPIs to support business goals.

Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in a quantitative, scientific, or finance-related field.
- Extensive experience in BI, analytics, or MI roles.
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying large databases and writing scalable, maintainable code.
- Expertise in Tableau for creating insightful dashboards and reports.
- Advanced Excel skills for complex data analysis and modelling.
- Ability to apply analytics for business impact.
- Experience in financial services or a similar regulated environment.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and Jira.
- Experience with Power BI.
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
- Experience evaluating external data sources for quality and value.
