Shape strategic growth. Create lasting social impact.

Are you ready to shape the growth of one of the UK's largest and fastest-growing adult specialist care charities?

Community Integrated Care is one of the UK's largest adult specialist care charities—and we are continuing to grow. We support thousands of people across the country to live the best lives possible, and we are looking for a Senior Business Development Partner – Mergers & Acquisitions to help shape the next phase of our growth.

This is an opportunity to use your commercial expertise for a clear social purpose: developing and managing a national pipeline of merger, acquisition, partnership and service-transfer opportunities that will extend our reach, strengthen our organisation and enable more people to access high-quality support.

This is a hybrid role, open to candidates based anywhere in the UK, with occasional national travel required.

What is The Deal for you?
  • Flexibility! You can work your full-time hours over 4 days and enjoy a long weekend or work over 5 days to accommodate your other commitments.
  • Benefits: Retail discounts, holiday discounts, cycle to work scheme and travel discounts through our benefits app.
  • Best Lives Possible: You'll be working for an award winning charity who is passionate about ensuring our colleagues and the people we support lead the best lives bolder
  • Development: We'll work with you to develop your career or to learn and experience new things. We're passionate about developing our people!
  • Dare to Learn: Access to our amazing online training platform where you can upskill taking a variety of courses and qualifications.
  • Support: From our Employee Assistance Programme (available 24/7), financial support options, and wellbeing fund you'll have the support available to lead an easier (financial) life.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Working closely with Executive Directors, senior operational leaders and colleagues across finance, legal, quality, people and digital, you will have the influence and visibility to bring structure, insight and momentum to complex growth opportunities.

You will lead the M&A pipeline from early market engagement through assessment, due diligence and transaction preparation, ensuring opportunities are progressed efficiently and aligned with our strategy, values and commitment to outstanding support.

Successful growth is about more than completing a transaction. It is about bringing people together, protecting service quality, maintaining continuity of care and creating sustainable opportunities that improve lives. Your commercial analysis, relationship building and strategic judgement will help shape the future of our charity.

What you'll be doing:
  • Develop and manage a national pipeline of merger, acquisition, partnership and service-transfer opportunities, informed by market mapping, sector intelligence and strategic priorities.
  • Build trusted relationships with commissioners, local authorities, NHS organisations, regulators, brokers, advisers, care providers and sector partners.
  • Assess the strategic, operational, financial and cultural fit of opportunities, identifying their potential value, risks and impact.
  • Lead multidisciplinary due diligence, coordinating specialist input, information requests and the escalation of material risks and issues.
  • Develop robust business cases, investment appraisals and clear recommendations for Executive and Board decision-making.
  • Guide opportunities through governance and approval processes, maintaining clear oversight of milestones, dependencies and emerging risks.
  • Work with operational colleagues to support effective mobilisation and integration planning following successful acquisitions or service transfers.
  • Provide senior leaders with concise pipeline reporting, growth forecasts and market insight, while strengthening our M&A approach through lessons learned.
About you:
What we’re looking for:

You will be a credible and commercially aware professional who can move confidently between detailed analysis, senior-level conversations and complex project delivery.

You will bring:
  • Experience of managing complex commercial or strategic projects.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, business development or organisational growth.
  • An understanding of M&A processes and transaction lifecycles.
  • Strong analytical, research and market-assessment skills.
  • The ability to coordinate multidisciplinary workstreams and keep complex activity moving.
  • Experience producing high-quality reports and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Sound commercial judgement, with the ability to identify opportunities, risks and organisational fit.
  • A degree-level qualification, or equivalent professional experience, in a relevant discipline such as business, finance, economics, law, project management, health or social care.
  • Experience in social care, healthcare or another regulated environment would be highly valuable. Exposure to financial analysis and valuation, knowledge of commissioning or public-sector procurement, and a project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM would also be advantageous.
The person behind the experience

You will be curious, proactive and highly organised, with the resilience to manage competing priorities and the judgement to handle commercially sensitive information with integrity and discretion.

You will combine commercial credibility with a clear commitment to social purpose and understand the importance of protecting service quality and continuity throughout organisational change.
