Job summary

Novara People Ltd invites applications for a Senior Business Development Manager to join a specialist, project-led business in the UK. You will drive new opportunities, manage key client relationships and help deliver projects from enquiry through handover.

This senior role requires strong relationship-building, commercial awareness and experience in technical manufacturing, engineering or production contexts. Flexibility for meetings, site visits and travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, sales, account management or client relationship management.
• Experience within a technical, engineering, manufacturing, construction, production or project-led environment would be highly advantageous.
• A full clean UK driving licence and valid passport are essential.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally when required.
• Strong commercial awareness including quotations, pricing, proposals and negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities.
• Build, manage and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients.
• Attend client meetings, pitches, site visits and industry events.
• Understand client requirements and ensure their vision is considered throughout bidding and delivery.
• Lead or support the preparation of project proposals, quotations, cost estimates and presentations.
• Work with internal technical, design and operational teams to develop viable solutions.
• Support project contract reviews, pricing, scope and delivery feasibility.
• Maintain clear communication between clients, project teams, suppliers and partners.
• Monitor progress of live opportunities and provide updates on pipeline and feedback.
