Responsibilities

  • For a client engagement:You will be responsible for contributing to the strategic objectives of the client through the delivery of change and will act as an intermediary between the business users and the technical teams to capture business requirements and design processes & solutions.This role includes responsibilities such as understanding and documenting proposals for change and articulating the idea, business drivers, benefits and desired outcomes working closely with the originator of the proposal. You will lead the requirements gathering process, working with business stakeholders to ensure outcomes are clearly understood as well as analyse and assess any Change Requests against documented business benefits throughout the lifecycle of the project. The role also involves working with senior management up to executive level to facilitate the finalization and approval of requirements & recommendations.Research a client’s business model, strategy, and capabilities, understand their problems and their vision, goals and strategy Undertake stakeholder mapping and management, communication and engagement through all stages of changeRun workshops using proven techniques for creating detailed business, functional and non-functional requirementsIndependently manage business analysis work for a client change, using empathy to work with client stakeholders and partners to develop insight and trustInvestigate options, provide recommendations and roadmaps, create business cases, and other documents required for the change project Ensure the solution/s is compatible with the client’s business, infrastructure, systems, data and security architectures, and its regulatory and commercial constraintsEnsure the solution is focusedon customer value where the customer journey is impactedIdentify opportunities for innovation, efficiency gain, and improvements to customer value and satisfaction, and employee ways of working, bring these to your stakeholder’s attention, and incorporate these into your workElicit requirements from stakeholders to create requirement repositories, Users Story maps, and prioritised backlogsProcess modelling and process improvement with an emphasis on efficiency and automation where possibleSupport the development and QA (test) teams with clear, signed-off requirements or user stories, and sufficiently detailed and decomposed acceptance criteria for all relevant scenarios, Provide the development and QA (test) teams supporting matrices and documentation for logical data models and data mapping with particular care for integrations, business rules, threshold criteria, UI/UX diagrams, state transition diagrams, non-functional constraints, etc Identify the impacts of a change on business teams, customers, and other change initiatives Help the business prepare for implementing a change by creating some or all of the following: a business readiness plan, business processes, customer journeys, training requirements, user guides or run-books, a service design, metrics and OKRs (objectives and key results), communications plans, and any relevant system-support Service Desk servicesSupport UAT, run model office sessions where appropriate, and support hypercare where usedComply with Client project governance and reporting needs Manage client expectations to ensure that you can deliver for the project team and the business
  • For Expleo:Network and work as part of multi-disciplinary teams, including Operations, Sales and Client PartnersIdentify opportunities for business development with the clientComply with Expleo governance related to sharing client knowledge and relationship management, reporting, raising issues, as well as capturing learning and case studies for clientsSupport the Sales team, contribute to bid responsesShare your knowledge and experience with other team members Volunteer for Business Solutions Team practice development .: develop a new proposition, create and update Business Solutions service documentation, run a Lunch ‘n LearnMentor other BAs, support team success and motivate others to keep morale and performance high

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Additional course or certification in Business Analysis - . BCS Business Analysis International Diploma (or equivalent)

Essential skills

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience of business analysis and:

  • A background in general or life insurance and experience of one or more London Market Insurance operations. Experience of business transformation would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting workbench tools and workflows
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the business and will be able to demonstrate diplomacy and be a trusted advisor of the business, but comfortable challenging & negotiating where needed.
  • Knowledge of using requirement gathering tools such as Jira, Miroboard, Quality Center with an understanding of both agile & waterfall project delivery methodologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in Policy Admin System implementation
  • Eliciting and managing requirements
  • Agile and waterfall SDLC frameworks, roles, responsibilities and ceremonies
  • Problem investigation and operational excellence
  • Advanced MS Excel ability and working knowledge of MS PowerPoint, MS Visio (or similar process modelling tool) and MS Word
  • Self-management, the ability to plan and organise your work to align with the client’s plan or milestone dates, by setting quantified goals and working to defined standards

Experience

  • Knowledge in business analysis methodologies and has awareness of new and emerging technologies and developments.
  • Understanding of London Markets insurance, advantageous to have worked in banking clearing and Settlement processes
  • Strong understanding of underwriting workbench tools and workflows
  • Leading, mentoring and training BAs
  • Experience in supporting team success and motivating others to keep morale and performance high.
  • Good self-management. Can set and work to quantified goals and standards. Delivers by being aware of and considering the commercial impacts.
