Job summary

CPS Group are partnering with a growing South Wales business to appoint a Lead Business Analyst in Newport. You will own requirements definition, stakeholder engagement and prioritisation of IT projects, influencing decisions at senior levels.

In this senior role you’ll manage a team of BAs, collaborate with IT Architects and sponsors, and drive the delivery of high-quality technology solutions across complex programmes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in business analysis at lead/senior level.
• Strong requirements gathering, analysis and documentation experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience facilitating workshops.
• Experience across IT programmes, projects and business change.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience leading, coaching or mentoring other Business Analysts.
• ITIL qualification or experience.
• Experience within a utility, infrastructure or similarly complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, define and document IT and business requirements with project sponsors.
• Lead a team of Business Analysts and work with IT Solution Architects on solutions.
• Manage technology tender and supplier selection when required.
• Produce investment papers covering costs, risks and timelines for approval.
• Support transition of initiatives through to delivery.
• Coach and mentor Analysts to promote best practice.
• Organise and facilitate workshops with key stakeholders.
• Manage multiple requirements, stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.
• Support wider business activities including training, communication and testing.
• Influence decisions to ensure IT programmes are defined, prioritised and aligned to business needs.
