Job summary

CPS Group (UK) Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a high-performing digital transformation environment delivering change across large-scale public sector and technology programmes. The role is remote with occasional travel to Cardiff and offers up to 80,000 per annum.

You will shape digital solutions, understand business needs, define requirements, and support delivery with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, product leads, designers, and developers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within public sector or large enterprise environments.
• Strong technical understanding, including collaboration with development and architecture teams.
• Experience delivering digital/IT solutions across varied technologies and platforms.
• Proficiency with Agile, iterative, and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Experience creating backlogs, user stories, customer journeys, and acceptance criteria.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements with senior stakeholders and business users.
• Translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to identify priorities.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, designers, and testers to shape solution design.
• Support digital transformation and business change initiatives.
• Create and maintain artefacts like user stories, process maps, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure requirements traceability and alignment with objectives.
• Support testing activities including UAT coordination and defect resolution.
• Analyse systems, processes, and data flows for improvements.
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and share best practices.
