Job summary

Oxford University is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to work with business representatives, end-users and project teams to deliver IT-enabled solutions aligned with strategic priorities. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the Business Analysis Practice and be involved in all stages of the delivery lifecycle, from requirements to UAT.

The role supports hybrid working with a minimum two days in the office weekly.

Qualifications

• High level of general education to degree level or equivalent.
• Experience in a complex environment with many parallel and mutually dependent activities.
• Proven business analysis experience with strong influence in business process analysis and re-engineering.
• Experience across all delivery lifecycle stages: defining user requirements, system testing, and assisting with UAT.
• In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban and demonstrable use.
• Experience configuring and using tools such as Azure DevOps for backlog management.
• Experience in IT Infrastructure environments with MS365 and IAM understanding.
• Proven negotiation skills in scope definition and requirements agreement.

Senior Business Analysts at Oxford University work collaboratively with business representatives, end-users, project and continuous improvement teams, and suppliers to deliver solutions that align with university strategic priorities. You will play a critical role in the definition, support and implementation of systems and solutions that support key activities of the University. You will join a thriving, friendly and supportive Business Analysis Practice at Oxford and contribute to the continuous improvement of business analysis and IT-enabled business change at one of the world's leading universities. The hybrid working requirements for this role are a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, and on occasion up to 4 days per week as required by business needs.

• In depth understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban and demonstrable experience of employing them
• Experience of the configuration and use of tools, such as Azure DevOps, for the management of backlogs etc.
• Experience of working in an IT Infrastructure environment, with a strong understanding of Collaboration Platforms such as MS365 and of Identity and Access Management
• Proven negotiation skills, for example in defining the scope of work and agreeing user requirements.
