Job description

Ready to take your career to the next level?

We're one of the UK’s most forward-thinking law firms, built on a foundation of innovation, collaboration, and ambition. Join us, and let's shape the future together.

Being refreshingly human starts with how we hire. We believe a diverse mix of perspectives makes us stronger – not just as a business, but in creating a culture where we all feel we truly belong and can thrive. That’s why we're committed to removing barriers and creating fair opportunities for everyone.

* We are in a period of exclusive direct sourcing for this role and are not currently accepting applications from recruitment agencies.

The role in 60 seconds
  • Role: Senior Business Analyst
  • Team: BusinessChange/Transformation
  • Location: Hybrid working from Bristol or Southampton
  • Working Pattern: Full-time
  • Why this role matters: As we continue to invest in transformation across the firm, this role will help shape how we work, deliver legal services and enhance our client experience. You'll play a key role in identifying opportunities for improvement, translating business needs into practical solutions, and ensuring change initiatives deliver lasting value.
What you’ll do

As a Senior Business Analyst within our Transformation Team, you'll help deliver strategic business and technology change by acting as the link between our stakeholders, technology teams and delivery partners.

In this role, you'll:

  • Lead the analysis, definition and documentation of business, functional and non-functional requirements for transformation initiatives.
  • Act as the bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams and delivery partners to ensure solutions align with strategic objectives and deliver value.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder engagement activities to understand business needs, challenges and opportunities.
  • Analyse current and future business processes, identifying opportunities for simplification, standardisation and operational improvement.
  • Support the delivery of transformation projects and programmes through requirements management, business case development and benefits realisation.
  • Work within Agile delivery environments, managing user stories, backlogs and prioritisation activities alongside Product Owners and delivery teams.
  • Contribute to technology and digital transformation initiatives, including system enhancements, integrations and new solution implementations.
  • Conduct impact, gap and root-cause analysis, identifying risks, dependencies and practical solutions to support successful change.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and communicate complex concepts, recommendations and findings clearly to governance groups and project teams.
  • Apply strong business analysis, process modelling, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills to support organisational transformation and business improvement.

You'll be part of our Transformation Team, working closely with colleagues across the PMO, Technology, legal practices and business services functions.

We have fully embraced flexible and agile working and focus on outcomes rather than presenteeism. Alongside a supportive and collaborative culture, we offer the opportunity to work on impactful transformation programmes that directly influence how the firm operates and delivers for its clients.

What we’re looking for

We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst who thrives in an Agile delivery environment and enjoys bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Agile software delivery teams.
  • Strong skills in requirements gathering, user story creation, backlog refinement and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience analysing and improving business processes, including AS-IS and TO-BE process design.
  • A track record of delivering technology-enabled change and workflow automation initiatives.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships across technical and non-technical teams and communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience with Finance systems and Finance Transformation.
  • Exposure to workflow automation tools and AI.
  • Experience within a legal, professional services or highly regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of systems integration, Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.

Above all, you'll be analytical, collaborative, adaptable and focused on delivering meaningful business outcomes.

What if I don’t tick every box?

We're not box tickers. We appreciate the need for everyone to find a role that challenges them and gives them room for growth.

If you bring transferable skills and a fresh perspective, we'd love to hear from you. If this role excites you and you have the skills to succeed, we encourage you to apply.
