We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in software development to join our team. They will play a key role in driving business improvements and strategic initiatives and to bridge the gap between business needs and IT Solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, business acumen, and experience working with cross-functional teams to define requirements, analyse technical requirements, assess system capabilities and implement solutions that enhance business performance.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will collaborate with stakeholders, analyse complex data, gather technical and functional requirements, document business processes, and support decision-making to achieve organizational goals.

This role requires strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities alongside technical skills across the product development lifecycle including a deep understand of software systems, databases and integrations.

Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Strategy:

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and opportunities.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes and workflows to identify efficiencies and improvements.
• Support in the development of business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and recommendations for strategic initiatives.

Technical Analysis & System Evaluation:

• Analyse business and technical requirements to determine system capabilities and gaps.
• Evaluate software applications, databases, and infrastructure to identify improvements.
• Work with development and IT teams to recommend technical solutions and system enhancements.

Requirements Gathering & Documentation:

• Elicit, document, and manage business and functional requirements for projects.
• Create detailed documentation, including business requirements, user stories, and process flows.
• Ensure requirements are clearly understood by development, operations, and other relevant teams.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Extract and analyze data from databases, APIs, and reporting tools to support decision-making.
• Develop dashboards and reports using tools like SQL, JIRA or Azure DevOps.
• Identify patterns, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation.

Process Improvement & Solution Design:

• Work with technical teams to define system requirements, integrations, and enhancements.
• Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of new business solutions.

Stakeholder Management & Communication:

• Act as a liaison between business units, IT, and leadership teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and presentations to gather input and communicate findings.
• Manage expectations and provide regular updates on project status and key milestones.

Project Support & Change Management:

• Support technical delivery and project managers in planning, risk assessment, and impact analysis.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-implementation reviews.
• Support change management efforts by ensuring smooth adoption of new processes or systems.

Experience

Experience:

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst, with experience in a senior role.
• Proven experience in business process analysis, data analysis, and requirements gathering.
• Strong track record of delivering insights and solutions that improve efficiency and drive business value.
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project environments.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and system architecture principles.
• Familiarity with API integrations, RESTful services, and enterprise applications.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
