The Senior Business Analyst will conduct Business Analysis-related project work, support the Lead BA with Portfolio management, coach, mentor, and quality assure BA’s work within the portfolio. Working with the Business areas within their domain to identify & define opportunities for improvement and deliver change successfully.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior Business Analyst

Build strong relationships and communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders. Accountable for the management of risk in respect of analysis deliverables and the overall requirements position of a project or programme assignment. To have a customer-centred outlook, working closely with business areas and Business Analysts on the opportunities, guiding and positively challenging preconceptions and driving collaboration across teams to optimise opportunities within their domain. Supporting Project Leads and teams to prioritise and make decisions. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Community, helping lead the adoption of agile principles, practices and cultural changes to improve how Thames Water delivers change across the organisation. Acts as the escalation point for Business Analysts in projects and other project stakeholders for all Business Analysis activities and deliverables, facilitating discussions to agree a common understanding for resolution and remedial action planning. Provide Quality Assurance for Business Analyst deliverables and overarching service offering Experience in working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologiesBase location – Hybrid, 2 days a week in the office– Clear Water Court. (with some additional travel to sites as needed) Working pattern – Monday to Friday, 36 hours.

What you should bring to the role

BCS Diploma or Equivalent Extensive experience working in a Digital Business Analysis project environment. Some Portfolio management for incoming project ideas. Experience in managing teams of Business Analysts Experience in coaching and mentoring others. Ability to present information clearly and succinctly at varying levels of the organisation with emphasis on simplifying complex business and technical concepts. Adapt to managing stakeholder expectations.What’s in it for you?
