Senior Business Analyst - full time permanent - £65,000 - 2 days hybrid Milton Keynes

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a growing organisation at an important stage of its transformation journey.

This is not a traditional BA role focused solely on requirements gathering and documentation. We are looking for someone who combines strong core business analysis skills with a strategic, consultative mindset and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

You will work across digital, technology and business transformation initiatives, taking complex data, processes and business challenges and translating them into clear recommendations that support senior-level decision making.

Working closely with Product, Technology and senior leadership, you will lead analysis from initial discovery through to delivery, helping ensure solutions are commercially focused, scalable and aligned with the organisation's longer-term growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions, requirements gathering and analysis across complex business initiatives.
• Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, workflows and business rules.
• Analyse current-state processes and map end-to-end customer and operational journeys.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, cost reduction and improved customer experience.
• Develop business capability maps and support wider business architecture activities.
• Translate complex data and analysis into clear recommendations and compelling narratives for senior leadership.
• Build business cases and use evidence to influence strategic decisions.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering teams and third-party technology partners.
• Support digital products involving APIs, integrations and SaaS platforms.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout design, development, testing and implementation.
• Coordinate UAT and ensure solutions meet business, customer and regulatory requirements.
• Challenge and influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite level.
• Mentor other analysts and help establish strong BA standards and ways of working.
• Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Lead Business Analyst or similar.
• Excellent grounding in traditional BA disciplines including discovery, requirements gathering, process mapping and requirements traceability.
• Experience delivering complex digital or business transformation initiatives.
• Previous experience within a regulated environment, ideally financial services, insurance, FinTech or a similar sector.
• Experience working within technology, software or SaaS environments would be highly beneficial.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to connect analysis to wider business outcomes.
• Demonstrable experience influencing and challenging senior stakeholders.
• Ability to take complex information and communicate it clearly and persuasively.
• Experience working with Product and Technology/Engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery.
• Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Comfortable operating within a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
• Experience across both regulated financial services and SaaS/software environments.
