Job summary

Transport for London is seeking a Senior Engineer (B3) in Built Environment to provide specialist input across buildings and urban realm structures. The role spans planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance to safeguard asset safety and efficiency.

Hybrid work allows 50% office/remote balance over a 4-week cycle. The ideal candidate will have chartered status and extensive built environment expertise, with responsibilities including on-site risk-based monitoring and mentoring

Qualifications

• Registered professional credentials or equivalent international recognition are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Built Environment legislation, standards and best practice.
• Experience across design, construction, operation and maintenance of assets.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, functionality and compliance of built environment assets.
• Lead development and delivery of low complexity engineering solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to stakeholders and management.
• Monitor on-site works and manage risk and issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and graduates to uphold standards.
