Job summary

Building Careers UK Ltd is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to join a Chartered property and construction consultancy in Liverpool. The role focuses on technical surveying, project management, and providing practical advice across healthcare, education and commercial sectors.

You will lead surveys, prepare reports and specifications, oversee contract administration, and travel to project sites as required. An ideal candidate holds a Building Surveying degree and relevant chartership progress.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a building surveyor within public/private sectors.
• Strong technical ability with building pathology and defects reports.
• Experience with condition surveys and schedules of work.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead professional surveys, property inspections and condition assessments.
• Carry out defect diagnosis and prepare detailed reports, specs and schedules of work.
• Advise clients on property condition, maintenance and refurbishment options.
• Support contract administration, tender documentation and project management activities.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders; monitor site works.
