Job summary

Currie & Brown Group Limited in Southampton is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to lead a diverse portfolio across Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset. You will deliver professional services from inception to completion, managing client relationships and project teams to ensure on-time, profitable outcomes.

You will work within our London & South-East Building Surveying team, applying your MRICS qualification, strong technical writing, and proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit to drive quality

Qualifications

• BSc in building surveying or equivalent.
• MRICS or equivalent professional status.
• Good technical writing and communication skills.
• Competent in AutoCAD or Revit; NBS knowledge beneficial.
• Experience in higher education, local government and healthcare sectors beneficial.
• Preferred experience in Party Wall and commercial dilapidations.
• Strong surveys, project management, clerk of works, repairs and maintenance.
• Knowledge of contract suites e.g. JCT/NEC.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects from inception to completion across a broad range of duties.
• Maintain effective communication for timely project completion and financial control.
• Assist in managing client/project teams to deliver on time and profitably.
• Visit sites to undertake surveys and supervise works on site.
• Ensure outputs are accurate and delivered on time.
• Represent the company professionally and build long‑lasting client relationships.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
