Job summary

Morson Edge seeks a Senior Building Surveyor to work on infrastructure and building assets across multiple offices in the North and Midlands. You will conduct asset capture, surveys, and specialist assessments, supporting energy transition goals and sustainability strategies.

The role covers project input from initial concepts to delivery, with responsibilities including CDM compliance and coordination with advisory teams. Prior experience in regulated sectors is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Chartered or Associate member of RICS or equivalent experience.
• Proven building surveying experience across diverse teams and services.
• Expertise in asset surveys and condition assessments.
• Strong project and contract management experience with procurement and stakeholders.
• Solid knowledge of Building Regulations, Planning, Health & Safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Provide asset capture, condition surveys, void surveys and specialist surveys (RAAC, fire compliance).
• Input across all project stages from fee build-up to close-out and delivery.
• Act as Principal Designer after specialist training, ensuring CDM compliance.
• Support defect analysis, remediation and planned maintenance strategies.
• Guide asset management and sustainability goals aligned with Net Zero ambitions.
